Thomas Paine was an English-American political activist, political philosopher, and revolutionary. He was a pamphleteer, journalist, political theorist, and revolutionary. He has been referred to as "the Father of Modern Democracy." He is best known for his two books: "Common Sense" and "The Rights of Man".
